Forefront of professionalism in financial planning
In 2014 Greg Medcraft, the chair of the financial services regulator ASIC, invited me to join ASIC’s External Advisory Panel as the only financial planning practitioner representative. My fellow panelists include Peter Costello, Chair of the future Fund; Catherine Livingstone, Chair of Telstra; and David Gonski, Chair of Coca-Cola Amatil and the ASX.
The ATO also asked me to sit on their peak Superannuation Industry Network as a Self Managed Super Fund practitioner member. I also sit on the Professional Standards and Conduct Committee at the FPA.
In 2013 my former accounting lecturer, Alex Malley, the CEO of CPA Australia, nominated me for a position at Macquarie University where I am now an Adjunct Lecturer.
